The School of Aeronautics and Astronautics held a mid-term symposium on the 2021 master's Long-term internship

The 2021 graduate students of the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics (SAA) went to six institutions to carry out a two-month internship, including COMAC Shanghai Aircraft Design and Research Institute, COMAC Composite Center, Commercial Aircraft Engine Co. Ltd, Aero Engine Corporation of China (AECC CAE), 803 and 509 Institute of Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology and Micro satellite Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

From August 24 to 26, the mid-term symposium on summer internship for 2021 graduate students of the SAA was held in various institutions.

Hu Shiqiang, Secretary of the Party Committee of SAA, Zhan Xingqun, Deputy Dean, Ge Yang, Deputy Secretary along with mentor representatives, alumni representatives, business representatives and 49 intern students attended the meeting.

Yin Yukang, Gui Yajing, Nie Xiaoyu, Liu Xiaoya and Mu Shaoyang as the intern representatives shared their experience of internship.

They expressed that under the guidance of the institutions’ instructors, they can be more proactive in seeking conscious theoretical knowledge and contacting engineering needs. The experiences also helped them to cultivate a serious and pragmatic work style, as well as realizing the professionalism of SAA fellows in long-term struggle.

During the mid-term symposium, all interns shared their gains from the internships. The students expressed their gratitude for the opportunity of this internship, and for the rest time of this internship, they will ask for more advice and better improve their abilities.

Fan Zhenmin, Kong Bo, Song Jinze, Gao Xiang, Yang Hui, Bai Guojuan, Lu Yirong, Deng Changlin, Qian Zhouyuan and other alumni representatives made speeches. They expressed that if contemporary Chinese youth want to make a difference, they must devote themselves to the great struggle of the people.The aerospace industry carries the will of the country, the dream of the nation, and the expectations of the people. It is a career that young people dream of. Students should follow the best and learn more from their colleagues to improve their business ability. They should take Qian Xuesen, Ma Fengshan and other older generations as examples, integrate personal careers and national needs together, and take root in aerospace soil, and Strive to write a glorious chapter of youth.

Some business representatives also participated in the mid-term symposium. Chu Jungeng, Director of the Human Resources Department of AECC CAE, affirmed the organization of the academy and the performance of the students' internships. In answering the recruitment questions that everyone cares about, he actively called on the students to devote themselves to key industries and achieve great careers.

On behalf of the college, Hu Shiqiang expressed condolences and encouragement to the interns. He pointed out that this internship is not only an experience, but also a learning and improvement.He addressed three hopes to his classmates.First, he hoped that students can deeply experience the  culture of state-owned enterprise and persist in their determination to achieve great careers.Second, while maintaining patience and confidence, students should continue to learn new skills and discuss and exchange more with corporate mentors.Third, with accumulating experience in learning, interns will also enhance understandings in experience, increase the courage to face difficulties, and have the tenacity to innovate.
