Course "Flying into the Future: Aerodynamics and Human Flight" of SAA has been approved as a Shanghai Municipal Key Course for Universities

  Recently, the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission issued the Notice of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission on Announcing the List of Courses Approved for the 2024 Annual Municipal Key Courses at Shanghai Universities (No. 38 of the Higher Education Department of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, 2024), and the course "Flying into the Future: Aerodynamics and Human Flight" submitted by the School of Aerospace Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University was approved for the 2024 annual municipal key course.

  This round of municipal key course construction at Shanghai universities aims to deepen course reform and promote innovation in talent cultivation models, continuing to drive the solution of "big problems" in talent cultivation models through "small cuts" in course reform. The college has closely followed the development needs of comprehensive reform of higher education and the development of the aerospace field, and continued to promote the deep integration of classroom teaching and practical teaching, contributing to the construction of a world-class, China-specific and Jiaotong-specific aerospace college.

 

Course Overview

  "Flying into the Future: Aerodynamics and Human Flight" plays both a fundamental and connecting role in the professional course system. It empowers basic mechanics knowledge through AI, explains common phenomena, problems and cases in aerospace, and combines virtual simulation experiment technology to create an immersive learning environment, simulate environmental experiments and designs, and enhance the learning experience. It can not only enhance students' understanding of the essential laws of flight, but also cultivate good scientific thinking and hands-on ability. By using an intelligent evaluation system, it can improve students' comprehensive quality of discovering, analyzing and solving problems, laying a cognitive foundation for subsequent professional course learning and future career development.

Teaching research

  He edited a guide to ideological and political education in aerospace courses in Shanghai universities, presided over 8 teaching reform projects, published 7 teaching and research papers, and published 2 teaching books and 2 chapters of English monographs. The teaching team completed 2 teaching reform projects of the virtual teaching and research room of the Ministry of Education and an online course construction project, and has recorded 58 knowledge point videos; completed 2 education and teaching research projects and a virtual simulation experiment teaching project.

Teaching Rewards

  Won the first prize of Shanghai Municipal Key Courses, First-class Undergraduate Courses, and Excellent Teaching Achievements Graduate Education; Shanghai Jiaotong University Teaching Achievement First Prize, Outstanding Contribution Award for University-middle School Linkage Training, Undergraduate Course Ideological and Political Demonstration Course, Course Ideological and Political Construction Special Excellence, Teacher Teaching Innovation Competition Second Prize and "Teaching and Educating People" Second Prize. The teaching team won the National Xinhua Ideological and Political Demonstration Course "Introduction to Aeronautics and Astronautics", and won the second and third prizes in the Shanghai Jiaotong University Young Teachers Competition.

  Courses are the cornerstone of talent training.
